On Repeat

The Stone Roses foreshadowed what new Britain would be and sound like throughout the 1990's. Their classic eponymous debut may have been the band's only deserving work but its influence still resonates today, as proven in the Raveonettes new and awesome cover of "I Wanna Be Adored". The track begins the album's psychedelic and entrancing spiral that would later evolve into jungle beats of Britpop mastery. It is, in my opinion, the best and most prolific song of the band's much too short-lived career.
